A former colleague sent me this article from Aug 2021 asking if I knew anything about the claim the DoD was to going reveal the existence of a classified space based weapon. Apparently the clusterflop of a withdrawal from Afghanistan delayed the announcement. I'm not a space guy, but think I'd have remembered this if it happened.

Anyone remember or know anything regarding such an announcement?
