Technically they're illegal under 18 USC § 795 and § 797. However, while the posted photos are pretty unique and special to this site, there isn't anything contained in them you couldn't find elsewhere on the Internet or in various publications. Area 51 is one of the most photographed military installations in the entire world. The USAF has no one to blame but themselves for that and the stories of aliens that they created to provide a smokescreen for their aircraft testing operations are the exact reason.
