I currently own a fixed wing that was originally a mil-spec for the New Zealand Army. It will fly over 3 hours on one battery and I can maintain control of it over 30 miles away. I rarely fly it out of line of site as that requires paperwork to stay legal. I mainly use it for pipeline monitoring and ranch surveys.
