At 05:40 PDT this morning a 4.4 magnitude earthquake occured 29 miles ESE of Beatty or about 13 miles SE of Yucca Mountain. It was followed by 6 aftershocks, 1.4 magnitude or less. According to the USGS web site (link above) it should have been slightly felt at Yucca Mountain. Starts to make me wonder about the geological stability of the area.
