Thank you! The antenna makes all the difference. I used a high quality antenna tuned to the portion of the VHF air band used by Janets on top of my truck and an Icom IC-R20 scanner with built-in voice activated recorder. With that set-up I can actually pick up the Groom VOR from Hwy 375.
