Regarding the ominously named "Quick Kill" radars, I
have been told that these sites have the ability
to rapidly shut down (like in "quick shutdown"), thus preventing targeting by
anti-radar missiles. I don't know if that's correct, but
that is the best explanation I was able to find.

Either that, or they are designed for the quick killing
of alien saucers.
