Good advice. Actually I am a licensed HAM general operator, K6LAS. And using the Highland Peak repeater, which is linked to two repeaters in Vegas, I was the only resident able to communicate with the outside world. I had four very helpful HAMs making calls on our behalf to find out what was going on.
