Well, lets see what the MAXIMUM POSSIBLE number of operational F-117 is. I assume that all are at TTR and housed at the Delta Ramp. The D Ramp has 30 hangars. They are wide enough for one operational F-117 or three in storage. Per our new list (see attached link) there are 49 airframes total that are stored or operational. One F-117 is prepped for sale and is likely stored in its own hangar. That leaves 48 airframes total stored in 29 hangars. One Hangar is likely used for general storage. That leaves 28 hangars. With a bit of simple math I get a max number of operational aircraft of 18 (yes, eighteen!). That is also the number of F-117 logos painted on the tail of at least one of them (see the detail photo posted in the original post). Coincidence? Once Article 827 is sold and without a storage hangar the absolute maximum number of operational F-117 is 20. Unless more are sold or scrapped... Then that number goes up even higher.
