Mr. Smythers, As for the Machrihanish again and the early nineties timeframe. The reports of the loud sonic booms during certain night hours and certain days, especially in November 1991.
More or less at the same time there were reports of special kind of fuel being kept at the base. It was said the fuel was brought to the base and the tanks were installed.
Without addressing and saying what exactly were the modifications made for... can you say whether the reports of the loud sonic booms and new tanks filled with special kind of fuel were, per se, related to each other?
