Just after or at the top of the steep hillside, you come to a saddle. Flat and wide. Its a great place to pitch a tent. We did the first night just because we started to hike after dark in 100 degree heat. From there, it is a relatively easy hike to the top. If you try to camp on top, be sure to tie the tent down. Our night was calm but the winds can be fierce on top.
