The KITEs stopped in Iceland on their way over. In the ADSBEchange history you can see that KITE62 (using callsign GFD2) actually flew to Iceland, returned to Germany and a few days later, after some local check-out flights, made it across the pond. Again, via Iceland.

The tracks of the GAF jets are spotty but it looks like they all left Germany in the morning of 6/23. So they may have had a tanker escort.

Btw: Blond Girl is the airspace controller for the R-4807A air space. Coming from Creech they check in with Blond Girl first (in this case on 297.750MMHz) before being handed to their respective mission freqs.
