Yes, we can keep secrets that long. As for the Brits not "spilling the beans," a number of them were cited in both the article Joerg posted and the original AFM article. Of course none of them were MoD or RAF, but they did tell what the saw/heard.

I can tell you from working with the Brits, they are very cognizant of the UK's Official Secrets Act. They take the Act and its penalties seriously, I never heard any of our people talk about penalties under US law with such fear as the Brits.
