Very interesting post, I have read at least three times to catch it all. Would this be some SMU's that found dusty old technology/equipment using it to develop tactics or forcing big army/navy to develop new tactics?

I have a friend who spent 20 years in an SMU and they were always pushing to learn new things and create. Never once did I think they might be utilizing moth-balled experimental tech or the such.
