The F-117’s do still make occasional appearances in and around Panamint and Saline Valley. It’s very hit or miss though. You have a higher chance seeing them in Saline Valley than you do Panamint, however saline is an adventure that I don’t recommend in a rental car. 315.9 and 291.6 are your best friends out there. Bring a scanner and listen intently. Don’t waste your time at Father Crowley. If you’re up for an adventure go to Ballarat. I hear there’s a guy there who makes amazing Death Valley craft moonshine and has upto date information on low level aircraft in the valley. You can also camp at Ballarat for $5 a night, highly recommend if you’re adventurous.
