Yes that doesn't sound very weird, it was clearly ahead of time. Because of all the errors in the program which was very challenging maybe indeed espionage or sabotage was not necessary. Maybe I'm just overthinking it.

Brilliant project though. Looks amazing. If it would work it would be an elite spy-weapon for the time.

I was also surprised that satellites dropped film into the atmosphere and were picked up in mid-air. I did not know that. Amazing.
