Yeah, I've seen that generic code pop up all over. Sometimes it makes it appear that a flight has zipped across the ocean at terrific speed. To me, what stood out about the flight yesterday was I was watching two KC-135 tankers orbiting very close to each other on the same track I was zoomed in fairly close since they were very close together but at different altitudes. At one point I glanced over and the aircraft with the generic code had appeared under one of the tankers. The origin of its track was in the middle of nowhere so it must have started broadcasting at that spot. After refueling it went and spent a lot of time flying in an active MOA north of Brady Tx. It then left heading NW and at the point it stopped broadcasting the altitude showed as 60,500 feet.
