You might right, I was only there once and that was better than thirty years ago. My point was it was the most well known of the auxiliary fields because of the shuttle landing. Northrup was also used as an emergency landing strip for the QF-100, QF-102, and QF-4 target drones flown out of Holloman. I don't know what's there now, if anything.
