Former Vice Commander of Area 51 from 2007-2009 MAJOR GENERAL MICHAEL T. BREWER has retired from active duty as commander of
Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center, Kirtland Air Force Base, New Mexico. He is now working for TSA and has a linkeden page. In his page he talks about his work as a Vice Wing Commander.

Vice Wing Commander
2007 – 20092 years
Guided $600M airbase, $4B in test resources and 1,300 facilities at 11 sites executing unique national test capabilities. Led 550 military and 200 civilian personnel directing the activities of 1,700 contractors. Advised on over 100 classified programs executing 5,000 test hours & 18,000 sorties per year at nine separate facilities.

I thought this was quite interesting and added some insight into the base and the test range.

Thanks

Tony
