Speaking of radar, a couple years ago there were multiple instances of weather radars been blinded by massive chaff clouds around the country. The stuff was staying in air for 8-10 hours, far longer than I would have thought chaff would have stayed aloft. The USAF made a few feeble attempts to explain why they were firing chaff, but none made much sense to me. Was this discussed here, and what was the consensus opinion as to what was going on? I've included an article about the incidents from "The Drive."
