I'd love for Tempest to be a success, but as you say, history shows that even when we do come up with cutting edge designs, they are inevitably cancelled in favour of American projects.

I should just point out that I mean no offence to my American cousins by this, it's much more an indictment of our own successive governments. There have been deals made even over the last couple of years that I believe were actually planned and put in place decades ago favouring American business interest over our own and they all have distinctly murky foundations.
