Question about tests.

Hello, so I've been lurking on this forum for awhile now and love learning what I can about DLR. I live down in SoCal and don't have a car but hope to be able to make it out there one day to do some observing. One thing I am curious about which I haven't seen talked about before is when they are testing a black project like the SR-72 or some other plane wether or not they fly anywhere within the NTTR or if theres certain ranges they avoid due to other activities. I know they will usually wait till everyone goes home but don't know if there could be people working at other ranges like the TTR or nuclear storage site where they might not want people being able to observe.

So can anyone with more experience give me some info on what might be a typical route for a test flight and if there are any areas they tend to avoid? I know it's impossible to track the flights but hopefully there is some info out there.

Thanks
