Going through Gabe's photos of San Nicholas Island I noticed an interesting building around file # 0747-0751. It is located at 33° 15.562'N / 119° 34.327'W. The entire structure is on tracks and can apparently slide on and off a concrete pad. In Google Earth historical images you can see it open in the 12/10/2013 image, revealing a tall rig on a concrete pad. In Gabe's photos the structure is "open" as well, but the rig is gone. The structure was built between 02/2007 and 06/2009. In 11/2013 it is closed and in 12/2013 it is open with a tall tower on the concrete platform.
