The B-52/HARM story is true. One of the OC-ALC guys I worked with on B-2 had been in the B-52 SPO during the Gulf War and he told me the story. The F-4 momentarily picked up an Iraqi fire control radar, but fired the HARM in anticipation it would come back up. The B-52 was heavy and down in weeds, in the wrong place at the wrong time.
