It really depends on the individual duties. Test personnel may have to remain on base for the week during a critical phase to be available if needed.

Procedures have changed as a result of Covid. In the beginning after they re-opened folks worked 12 hour shifts 3 days a week. I would assume that many stayed on base between shifts.
