I'm doing a search on www.firstgov.gov on "groom lake" and found this article. Unfortunately, it's not on line. Anyway, it looks like they have linked up more databases to firstgov.gov since new links are showing up, though the information isn't necessarily new.

Air Force Times, 04-22-96
Summary: Army Times. Air Force Times. Air Force Times. Some Air Force CT-43 jets assigned to Hill Air Force Base in Utah are used to transport passengers to the Air Force's top-secret facility in Nevada commonly known as Groom Lake, according to aninvestigation. Air Force officials for years denied the facility existed.
