Powerlines is definitely one of the best drive-up scanner spots around here. When it is windy in the valley, it is usually quite windy up there. But if you move only a few meters back from the ridge to the end of the dirt tracks, the wind is usually not too bad.

Bill and I were up there a few days ago, and I got quite an interesting scanner clip. Hint: It involves a fastmover. The clip will be up soon...
