It gets more fun... Eglin posted his bio a few years ago when he was promoted to Vice Commander of the 96th Test Wing. (I found it on the WayBack Machine, seems the link is dead these days.) The guy has a Bachelor and Masters in Aerospace Engineering from USC, an MBA from the Naval Postgraduate School, a Masters of Strategic Studies from the Army War College ... and somehow managed to squeeze in over 3000 flight hours in 27 aircraft types. Most interesting, from 2009-2014 he was the "Flight Test Squadron Commander, Test Squadron Commander, and Deputy Operations Group Commander, Data Masked" So he's spent some considerable time up range.
