I can kind of see both sides. The Gov. is absolutely correct when saying how can it be a disaster if the county approved the permits. No argument there. On the other hand, the county is correct when stating that if they DIDN'T approve the permits, then the Inn would have made no arrangements for security and sanitation and it would all fall on the county, and the mess would have been bigger. HOWEVER, the county had the choice to NOT approve permits and just close the road. They would then have only the cost for doing just that. So I highly doubt the counties will get any money from the state. Lesson learned? Maybe...
