OK I'll throw this story in for comments. In February 1989 we flew into Monmouth County Executive airport in NJ (BGM) . After lunch a brand new Lear 35 (i think) parked next to our C-210. The crew got out and were checking out my a/c and I was checking out the Lear. In our conversation they told me they were there to pick up an Eaton exec to go play golf. The crew were F-4 pilot and RSO and were recruited to fly the CEO right out of the military. Now this is before the hype on A-51 but I asked where they had taken the CEO recently. They both said they had taken him and some techs to "Ranch" a few times in the Lear. I asked what ranch, they replied "Groom Lake". Eaton was involved in some project there. Never dug into anything more but I remember that conversation. Any other instances of biz types in Groom?
