I believe a similar comment was made here recently (may have been by you), about cargo planes being useless for transporting a HALO team. I do know that a common tactic for HAHO aircraft (slightly different) is to follow commercial flight routes and have the team jump out along the route. It's also not unusual to have certain military aircraft fly with false transponders to avoid unwanted attention. Given that special operations have seen massive budget increases since 9/11, often co-mingled with black projects, and the world still hasn't seen any additional info on the "stealth" helicopters used in the Bin Laden raid, it would be very interesting to see if there is any meat on this bone.
