I can tell you about the time I retired, 2011, there was noticable interest in airships at ASC/EN. One of the last information (unclassified) briefings I attended was by a small team of younger engineers who gave a detailed airship history and design/performance presentation to senior leadership. I didn't recognize their office symbol, but then again I did not pay much attention as I was getting ready to retire. I don't remember why the briefing was given, either.
