TTR and the upgrades Pt:2

After gathering some interested engineers of the runway building type soon after my first look at TTR (as well as a few hardened structure specialists) our projected PCN for TTR is, if we are correct, to be at / around 60 /62 - A hefty rise from the 48 it is now (48 is good for medium weight fighter / strike airframes with limited payloads aka F117!) This is based on the construction materials ferried in and all the NOTAM over the last 10 months.

For interested people the official FAA figures for the following AF bases.

Barksdale AFB - B52. PCN 83.

Whiteman AFB - B2. PCN 58.

Edwards AFB is officially FFA recorded as PCN 71 (Runway area where suspected B-21 related construction is rapidly transforming the area)

Of interest is the higher number (If we are correct) than the Whiteman AFB figures. Answer? There will be considerably more airframes using the runway a hell of a lot more than the 19 B-2 do at the moment at Whiteman.

So - It all points to TTR as being the first permanent base of something massively heavy, in large numbers reaching the days of the F117, that needs the tightest security available outside of Groom Lake itself.

*All PCN numbers bar our estimates are direct from FAA offical sources utilised by the aviation community.

We await the official figures that will have to go to the FAA for TTR with baited breath!
