Peter Merlin refers to this in his excellent article on how Area 51 was never classified, I stumbled upon it in its entirety, and it is available online. It deals with how the Groom Mine/Sheahans were affected by both the atomic shots and development of the Groom Lake complex. Starts on page 20.
