The last two time I climbed at night most of the way. The steep first leg I did when the sun was just setting. Someone hung 3M reflective tape in the trees, with the headlamp and backup flashlight, the trail was easy peasy to navigate. I thought it was way better: amazing stars, perseids meteor shower and no brutal sun! It can get eerie but I wasn't along, Mr. Sig Sauer p228 tagged along ;-) First trip up I was naked. I'm like wait, I'm on a mountain @$%& mountain lions! I once saw one haul ass across HWY 375 just before Hancock Summit. Never went out with Sig again LOL

Tikaboo Peak benchmark: 7917 ft / 2413 m
Camp Site elevation: ~7812 ft / 2381 m ( 37°20'35.40"N / 115°21'26.47"W)
-Not too much a difference
