Tonapah Test Range Construction

Just spit balling, but why would they remove the Runway 14 Threshold and approach lights? Damaged beyond repair? Or Runway extension? TTR’s Runway is 12000 X 150 feet, that’s really long. The longest I know is the Shuttle Landing Facility at KSC. Albeit, I’m sure there’s longer ones out there. The removed the BAK-14 arrestor and and installed a mobil aircraft arrestor system (MAAS). All the NOTAMs below point to a Runway extension to me. But what aircraft needs more than 12000 feet? There’s more construction between Taxiways A and B. So major airport overhaul and or expansion? Not to speculate but it sounds like a new aircraft is coming to town???
