Back in 2000 I was part of a color guard outfitted as WWII Marines for the opening of the Bush Gallery at the National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg Texas. When Bush arrived there was a surprise for him. Almost every flying TBM Avenger in the country did a flyover. I don't remember the exact number but there were more than 20. It was something that had not been seen for more than 50 years. The entire crowd went completely silent. Bush could hardly get his speech started as he was so choked up. That was the best flyover I have ever seen. This one would have ranked up there if I could have been there in person.
