Not sure if any of the big car rentals have 4WD vehicles. Most companies won't allow you to go off-road, or even off pavement. I hope someone else has more info.

If you plan to visit the GL Rd gate and/or the back gate, any rental car will work fine. The roads are well maintained dirt roads.
