I don't remember seeing any AEC signs on the NTS tour, but cleaning up old signs does not appear to be their top priority. On the old road to Freedom Ridge you can still see the old warning signs, a half mile inside the restricted area now.

The cammos drive by them every day, but noone has bothered to take them down. In fact this is very misleading. Seeing the signs in the distance can make you think you are still on public land, while in fact you have already crossed the (new) border.
