BAGHDAD, Ariz. (AP) -- Luke Air Force Base officials say an F-16 fighter from the Phoenix-area base has crashed in northwestern Arizona. http://www.fox10phoenix.com/news/arizona-news/78603186-story
There's no immediate word on the condition of the pilot of the F-16, which crashed Thursday morning near the community of Bagdad in western Yavapai County.
Luke officials said the F-16 was assigned to the 56th Fighter Wing at the base.
Bagdad is located 85 miles northwest of Luke, which is located in the Phoenix suburb of Glendale.
A Luke spokeswoman, 1st Lt. Tanya Wren, said cause of the crash isn't known and that no other information is immediately available.
