This is a quote from the United States Air Force from 2012. "Congress issued a mandate that all Air Force bases discontinue security contracts by the end of September. Fortunately, the continuity that civilian security guards provide will not go away. Department of the Air Force police will replace contracted guards and work side by side with security forces." When they say "civilian security guards will not go away." they are referring to uniformed Department of Air Force Police which a US Federal Uniformed Police Division. Again...to answer your question the US Military is NO LONGER using contractors for Installation security. I hope this helps answer your question. Thank you,
