I think there may be room to speculate; but an extensive inquiry into the design, devevolopment, and maintenance of these aircraft may turn up much of the price.

The politics involved, after the promise of many aircraft to be ordered; after setting up the ability to produce the B2, and then many less ordered may find an average price for each aircraft might also be another reason for
the high cost of the project.

I am open minded to theories for other possibilities.
