The aircraft with the nose and tail modifications is the NT-43A "RAT55" Radar Test Bed (73-115). It's been flying out of TTR supporting various programs and activities within the range for a few years now. It's used to radar image aircraft in flight and replaces the MetraTek A-3 AirSAR which used to be used for the same purpose.
