There is actually quite a bit of info on this in our "Area 51 Info&Photos" section. Under "Area 51 Perimeter", "Area 51 Security" and "Surveillance Devices". But I want to make it very clear that strongly advise against approaching the perimeter in any location other than on Groom Lake Road, where the border is well marked. In most other areas there are no signs, no fence and I found that the border does not always follow a straight line, although according to the map it should in that location.
