Yes, and a human will die if he travels faster than 60 mph. Of course back then, the technical reality of traveling that fast hadn't happened yet. (except maybe falling off a cliff) By your own definition, anything that is theory is a farce. I mean really, who would have believed that if you compressed a heavy metal it could release enough energy to wipe out a city?
