Wasn't the tail section the only recognizable piece of the left-behind aircraft? If the reports that the guys used thermite grenades to demolish the wreck are correct, then one wouldn't expect there to many big pieces left. The tail section survived because it came to rest on the other side of the wall from the rest of the wreck.

The site has been mentioned here before I think, but these guys have some pics of stealth rotorcraft UAVs being tested.
