Interesting facts.......Rogers dry lake bed is 5 miles wide and 13 miles long......The main runway @ Edwards is 15,000 feet long (where most are at best are 10,000)......

I remember the Bell X-1 and X-1A....Bell X-2.....The Pogo's were the craziest. The best IMHO was a German VTOL by Dornier DO-31....Pure jet, no props......
