Okay, I may need to take that back, partially. Encrypted data may not be impossible over that distance, but it certainly takes WAY more effort to do. A lot of companies choose not to encrypt data, certainly not video. I have experience transmitting encrypted video sent from wildlife broadcast-camera's for television. That was a true pain in the ass to do I can tell.
