IIRC it was a carrier they bought from the Russian Navy...The 'ramp' was for their jump jet (ala the Royal Navy Harrier carrier)......... I agree, a carrier w/o a catapult will limit it's ordnance capacity.....unless they have invented "light bombs" (:D)
One of the news groups stated that regardless of this landing it would be sometime before the the carrier would be 'operational'.......The new report also stated this aircraft was new as well. (?????)
