Speaking as a lawyer, I'd say that, if caught, you would be looking at felony espionage charges: decades in prison. The DOJ would be happy to make an example of you and by mid-afternoon on the day of your arrest, Fox News would be speculating as to whether you have ties to al-Qaeda. In the post 9/11 era, they just won't mess around with this kind of thing. I assume you're kidding, but if you're serious, I think it's a REALLY bad idea. It's the kind of thing that Assistant US Attorneys would be salivating over as a way to feather their resume by prosecuting you as a suspected terrorist. No joke.
