Yeah. I noticed the slight curve in the right turkey feathers when I read last week's Aviation Week last night. I have never seen engines that don't go full open at idle and stay that way when shut down. Maybe they have them manually adjustable for test purposes.

AW says they are Klimov RD-93 engines.

I was in AF pilot training in 1970, and turkey feathers was the term everyone used then. It's because the tail feathers of a turkey make an inverted U shape and move from straight back to spread out, just like the engine nozzles. I have no idea who first thought of it.
